We inform you of the possibility offered to any customer of CAUMONT INTERIORS who is a consumer, to have recourse to a consumer mediator in the event of a dispute or disagreement concerning our products and services.

The website www.caumont-interiors.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Website“) is the property of ISAMBART XV Pte Ltd, a Singapore exempt Private Company Limited by shares, registered with the Registrar of Companies (ACRA) under number 202005112Z, whose registered office is located at 160 Robinson road, #14-04, Singapore 068914.

The Website’s publication director is Bruno Busquet de Caumont in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The Website is hosted by the company OVH.

3. LIABILITY

CAUMONT INTERIORS undertakes to make its best efforts to ensure that users can access the Website at all times, and takes the utmost care to ensure the quality and reliability of the information contained on the Website.

CAUMONT INTERIORS makes every effort to ensure, to the best of its ability, the accuracy and updating of the information published on this Website, the content of which it reserves the right to correct at any time and without notice. It also warns visitors that it is their responsibility to check the information by other means, including by contacting the company. Consequently, CAUMONT INTERIORS declines all responsibility for any imprecision, inaccuracy or omission in the information available on the Website. With the exception of the description of the products sold on the commercial part of the Website (online shop / e-commerce), the information contained in the Website is provided for information purposes for personal and private use without any guarantee, explicit or implicit, of validity, exhaustiveness or topicality for the sole general information of the users; it cannot replace or substitute for advice or personalised consultations on layout, decoration or of any other professional nature.

Consequently, CAUMONT INTERIORS cannot be held responsible in the event of unavailability of the Website for any reason whatsoever, nor can it be held responsible for errors, lack of availability of information and/or the presence of viruses on its Website. CAUMONT INTERIORS shall not be liable for any damage, temporary or permanent, caused to the visitor’s computer system or for any loss or damage (including, but not limited to, loss of data or profits) suffered as a result of:

  • accessing or browsing the Website ;
  • using the information contained on the Website; or
  • copying, viewing or any other use of the Website which would give rise to litigation or recovery proceedings.

CAUMONT INTERIORS shall also not be liable for any indirect damage resulting from fraudulent intrusion by a third party leading to a modification of the information published on the Website or any financial or commercial loss, loss of programs or data in the user’s information system or otherwise, even if CAUMONT INTERIORS was aware of the possibility of such damage occurring.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The general structure of the Website, as well as each of its elements taken independently, in particular the texts, data and graphic elements, whether animated or not, constitute works which are protected as such by intellectual property laws, in particular by copyright, designs and models and trademark law, and by international treaties.

The reproduction of a page of the Website in a frame not belonging to CAUMONT INTERIORS or the insertion of a page belonging to CAUMONT INTERIORS in the page of a site not belonging to CAUMONT INTERIORS is prohibited. This Website is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except in cases of force majeure, computer difficulties, difficulties related to the structure of communication networks, or technical difficulties.

PREAMBLE

The purpose of this data protection policy is to inform users of the commitments and measures taken by the CAUMONT INTERIORS group through its companies and brands to ensure the protection of their personal data, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA“), which provides a basic standard for the protection of personal data in Singapore, and the European Personal Data Protection Regulation n°2016/679 (“RGPD“).

The term “personal data” covers all information that makes it possible to identify a person: name, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address or IP address, and/or linking of these elements.

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information you provide us when you use our website and its components (“Website“), store in our stores, call us on the phone, sign up to receive our emails, request a catalog, contest, promotion or survey, communicate with us via third-party social media sites, request customer support, apply for and/or participate in our loyalty program or otherwise communicate with us.

The types of personal information we may then collect in order to provide you with our best services include your name, mailing/billing/delivery address, e-mail address, telephone number, demographic information, payment card information, browsing preferences, order history, preferences and interests, products viewed, product order tracking information, and any other personal information you choose to provide.

This policy is subject to change in the light of legal and regulatory developments, as well as the positions taken by the supervisory authorities with regard to data protection.

The personal data processing carried out within the framework of the www.caumont-interiors.com Website is included in the list of processing operations of the Group’s Data Protection Officer.

2. DATA COLLECTED AND PURPOSE OF COLLECTION

CAUMONT INTERIORS implements a system for collecting and processing personal data exchanged when the user accesses its Website, and/or its store(s) where applicable.

  • Certain personal information about you is collected automatically when you access or use our services, including: 
    • Connection information (browser type, access time, page(s) viewed, IP address, referral link by which you accessed our websites);
    • Device information (hardware model, operating system, version) ;
    • Transaction information: product purchase or return (product details, date and place of purchase/return);
    • Information collected by cookies and similar tracking technologies (including browsing and purchasing behaviour) as explained in Article VII.
  • User personal data that is collected directly (e.g. when logging on to the online store, the customer area, when transmitting a question via the contact page or when submitting a CV) or indirectly (login data) meets explicit, legitimate and determined purposes.

We may use this information to manage your requests, to better understand your use of our services, to improve our services and products, to improve our Websites and your online experience, to understand which areas and features of our Website are popular, to count visits, to understand the effectiveness of campaigns, to tailor our communications with you, to determine whether an e-mail has been opened and whether the links contained therein have been clicked, and for other internal business purposes. More specifically, this data is used by CAUMONT INTERIORS :

  • for recruitment purposes. If the user submits a CV or application online, CAUMONT INTERIORS will use this personal data for recruitment purposes, which may involve CAUMONT INTERIORS contacting the user by e-mail, telephone or post ;
  • In certain cases – in particular for the online sale of certain products – the user may be asked to register on the CAUMONT INTERIORS Website. Unless you request otherwise, CAUMONT INTERIORS may keep this personal data on file for a certain period of time in order to contact the user in the future for other employment opportunities ;
  • or when the user has given his consent.

These purposes have been brought to the attention of CAUMONT INTERIORS’ Data Protection Officer, who has included them in his register of processing activities.

In certain cases, if the user does not provide his/her personal data, he/she will not be able to benefit from certain services offered by the CAUMONT INTERIORS Website; the communication of certain personal data is then voluntary and necessary. These services include product sales, communication, product sheet downloading and recruitment. The compulsory or optional nature of responses is indicated: fields marked with an asterisk are compulsory.

When the user provides personal data on the CAUMONT INTERIORS Website, he/she guarantees that he/she has received the necessary authorizations and consents from the persons concerned by this personal data if it concerns persons other than him/herself and, where applicable, for the uses described in these general conditions of use.

As a general rule, CAUMONT INTERIORS does not collect sensitive personal data through its Website. By voluntarily providing CAUMONT INTERIORS with sensitive personal data without being asked (for example by submitting a CV or an online application), the user expressly consents to the use of his/her personal data as described in these general terms of use.

In some cases, we may also collect personal information you provide about others, for example when you create and share a “wish list” or when you decide to purchase and ship products to someone else. We will use this personal information to respond to your requests and will not send commercial communications to your contacts unless they choose to receive communications from us.

  • The relevant departments of CAUMONT INTERIORS;
  • Technical service providers involved in the hosting, operation, updating, IT supervision and distribution of the Website ;
  • Our payment subcontractors (fraud prevention, payment processing) ;
  • Our logistics providers (order preparation, transport, etc.) ;
  • Our transport service providers (tracking and delivery of your parcel requires the transfer of your personal data such as name, first name, telephone number, e-mail address, invoice number);
  • In the case of delivery, responsibility for processing depends on the service provider’s role in implementing the essential means ;
  • Our subcontractors in charge of after-sales service (repair stations, management of product returns, etc.) ;
  • Customs services for deliveries abroad.
  • As CAUMONT INTERIORS operates in Singapore and other countries, we and our service providers and subcontractors may transfer, store or access your personal information in jurisdictions that may not offer equivalent levels of data protection to your home jurisdiction. We will take steps to ensure that your personal information is afforded an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.

4. USERS’ RIGHTS

Users have the right to access, rectify, modify, limit and delete their personal data.

They also have the right to object to the processing of their personal data for legitimate reasons, as well as the right to object to their data being used for commercial prospecting purposes.

Finally, he or she has the right to define general and specific directives defining the way in which he or she intends these rights to be exercised after his or her death.

To exercise his rights, the user must send a letter to the Data Protection Officer of CAUMONT INTERIORS, together with a photocopy of an identity document bearing his signature, to the e-mail address caroline@caumont-interiors.com .

In the event of no reply or an unsatisfactory response, the data subject may refer the matter to the supervisory authority in his or her country of residence:

5. DATA RETENTION

CAUMONT INTERIORS only keeps its users’ personal data for as long as is necessary for the operations for which they were collected and in compliance with current regulations.

  • Customer data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship, plus three (3) years for promotion and prospecting purposes, without prejudice to retention obligations or limitation periods;
  • Data relating to prospects is kept for a period of three (3) years from the last incoming contact;
  • CV data is kept for two (2) years from the last contact with the applicant.
  • Invoices relating to purchases are kept for ten (10) years;
  • Specific rules concerning the storage of bank details
    • In order to ensure the security of payments, CAUMONT INTERIORS uses the services of internationally renowned service providers able to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of cardholder data and thus secure the protection of card data and transactions.
    • When you place an order using credit card payment, our order-taking system connects in real time with the payment system, which collects your data and carries out various checks to prevent abuse and fraud. The data is stored on the payment service provider’s servers and is not transmitted to CAUMONT INTERIORS servers at any time. The payment service provider requests authorization from the bank and sends us a transaction number which enables us to carry out transactions up to the amount of the authorization.

6. SECURITY

CAUMONT INTERIORS ensures the security of your personal data by implementing enhanced data protection through the use of physical and logical security measures.

CAUMONT INTERIORS has implemented a policy to protect personal data against loss, misuse, modification or destruction.

Any member of CAUMONT INTERIORS who accesses this information is informed of its confidential nature. In addition, CAUMONT INTERIORS ensures that its technical service providers likely to have knowledge of personal data, respect the same confidentiality.

However, it is important for the user to be aware that since the Internet network is open to all and not secure, CAUMONT INTERIORS cannot be held responsible for the security of personal data transmissions over the Internet.

7. COOKIES

Cookies are data stored on a user’s terminal equipment and used by the Website to send information to the user’s browser, enabling the browser to send information back to the originating Website (e.g. a session identifier, language choice or date).

For the duration of the cookie’s validity, cookies enable status information to be stored when a browser accesses different pages on a Website, or when the browser returns to the Website at a later date.
